Fair Testing!

What makes a fair test? 

That was Gowan's challenge on Friday afternoon.

They spent time discussing what items we could use to make an investigation fair. After agreeing on things like size of materials, type of material they chose an absorption investigation.

It became quite a complex operation to make this investigation truly fair.

The eagle eyed children found so many areas where fairness could be challenged or questioned, such as a tiny little piece of grass / hay in one of the water samples we used!! Could this affect the outcome of the investigation?
