KCP Girls Football Festival 2019

On Monday 21st January over 80 girls from Kendal schools came to Vicarage Park to take part in the KCP Girls Football competition.

There were two pitches for Year 5 and 6 girls teams and one pitch for the year 3 and 4 girls teams. Year 11 students from Kirkbie Kendal School came across to help referee the games.

The level of skills was fantastic and their sportsmanship was commenable. It was a friendly competiton, however we managed to have play-offs for the Group 1 teams for year 5 and 6. Overall St Mark's won on goal difference. They scored the most goals in the tournement.

Well done and thank you to all the local schools for taking part and to Matt Harris and all the other parent helpers for giving up their time. We have been asked to host a boys festival-so watch this space.
