Sports for Champions/Sport Relief

Yesterday we had a fantastic day raising money for two very special charities: Sports for Champions and Sport Relief. All the children came dressed in their sportswear: riding gear, football kits, dance and gymnastics wear, judo robes and even swimming attire. 

We welcomed a very special guest-Stephanie Inglis-a Commonwealth silver medalist winner at the Glasgow Games in 2014. She delivered a very inspirational assembly, where she talked about her sporting achievements and her tragic accident which changed her life completely. The children were amazed at her story and asked her some great questions. 

Each class then had a circuit training session with Stephanie-they were all exhausted by the end of it and so were the staff!

We raised a fantastic £565 for the charities-a truly brilliant effort.

Thank you so much to all the children who dressed up and brought their £1 mufty donation in and to those who managed to get sponsors or who donated more towards the Sports for Champions cause. You should be very proud of the amount you raised that will help so many people.
