Torchlight 2018
Once again with lots of team work and commitment from the staff, pupils and parents, Vicarage Park created a fabulous Torchlight float! This year the theme was 'books and authors' and we chose Swallows and Amazons. We had swallows flying from the wagon ceiling, a tent and campfire and even an actual boat!
The adults and children on the float were dressed as pirates or with a 1950s theme. They waved flags, looked through telescopes or pretended to fire bows and arrows! These props were made by different classes in school and this was a truly whole school effort.
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Lakeland Commercials for the use of their wagon and driver. They have supported us for many years now and we are extremely grateful. We would also like to thank Kevin and Amanda Teasdale who organise the wagon and come to help with various technical things throughout the day. We must also thank all the parents and Grandparents who came to help build the float on the day, without you the wagon would be very boring! And finally very well done to all the children who made something, or sat and waved all through the procession - you were fabulous!
My last request...if anyone has any photos please can you send them in to school? Our website needs more!
Thank you.
