North of England Lacrosse Festival

Lesson: Physical Development

Class: Year 5 Year: 2016 - 17

On Tuesday 13th June the Vicarage Park Lacrosse team went to the next stages of the Lacrosse tournament for the north of England. It was held at Penrith Leisure Centre. 9 schools from all over the north of England took part. We played 4 games in the 'round-robin' stages and came 7th in that section. We then went forward to play for the North of England Plate-where we won our first game against Levens but unfortunately lost against Armethwaite. The team were extremely sporting; shook hands and congratulated the other teams after every game they played and showed some impressive Lacrosse skills through-out the afternoon. 

Mrs Green and the whole school couldn't be more proud of them. A big thank you to Miss Flemming and Mrs Strong for coming along and cheering the team on!
